Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tangier

Your driver meets you at the airport or ferry port. Tangier sits at the meeting point of the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Depending on arrival time, you can explore the medina, the kasbah, and the coastal Corniche.

Day 2: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

Travel to Tetouan, known for its white houses and Andalusian influence. Continue into the Rif Mountains to reach Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue City.” Spend the afternoon walking through its quiet streets and small squares.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Drive south toward Volubilis, a well-preserved Roman archaeological site with mosaics and old columns. Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, to see its monumental gates and old square. Arrive in Fes for the night.

Day 4: Full Day in Fes

Spend the day exploring the medina of Fes. You can visit religious schools, old caravanserais, artisan quarters, and panoramic viewpoints. The city offers a strong atmosphere of history and traditional life.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Leave Fes and drive through Ifrane and the surrounding cedar forests. Pass Midelt, located between the Middle and High Atlas, then follow the Ziz Valley with its long palm groves. Arrive in Merzouga, where the high dunes of Erg Chebbi begin. In the afternoon, you may join a camel ride into the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp.

Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades

After sunrise in the desert, travel to Rissani to see its traditional market. Continue toward the Todra Gorges, where the rock walls rise high above the road and river. Later, drive to the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and viewpoints.

Day 7: Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

Drive through small Berber villages and the Valley of Roses to reach Ouarzazate. Visit or view Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village made of earth and stone that has been used as a film location. Cross the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka Pass before arriving in Marrakech.

Day 8: Explore Marrakech

Spend the day exploring Marrakech, visiting sites such as the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque, and the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square. You can also enjoy quiet gardens or rooftop terraces.
