12 Days Egypt Tour Itinerary

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Hurghada

Your private driver will meet you at Hurghada Airport and take you to your hotel. Relax by the Red Sea after your journey.

Day 2: Hurghada – Red Sea Relaxation

Enjoy a free day by the beach. You can swim, snorkel, or simply rest at your hotel.

Day 3: Hurghada – Drive to Luxor

Leave the coast and drive inland across the Eastern Desert toward the Nile Valley. Arrive in Luxor and check into your hotel.

Day 4: Luxor East Bank – Karnak and Luxor Temple

Visit Karnak Temple, exploring its courtyards, statues, and forest of stone columns. Later, visit Luxor Temple in the city center.

Day 5: Luxor West Bank – Valley of the Kings

Spend the day on the West Bank. Visit the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. Learn about the burial traditions of the pharaohs.

Day 6: Luxor – Edfu – Kom Ombo – Aswan

Drive south toward Aswan. Stop at Edfu Temple, one of the best preserved in Egypt, and Kom Ombo Temple, located on a curve of the Nile. Arrive in Aswan for overnight.

Day 7: Aswan – Philae Temple – Nile Views

Take a boat to Philae Temple and enjoy the views of the islands and surrounding water. In the afternoon, you can relax in Aswan or stroll along the corniche.

Day 8: Aswan – Abu Simbel Day Trip by Road (optional)

Make an early morning road trip to Abu Simbel with your private driver. Visit the famous temples carved into the rock above Lake Nasser. Return to Aswan in the afternoon.

Day 9: Aswan – Drive toward Cairo (overnight stop)

Start the overland journey back north toward Cairo using the desert highway. Stop in a suitable town along the way, such as Sohag or Minya, for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Arrival in Cairo – Free Time

Continue the drive to Cairo. In the afternoon or evening, you can rest at the hotel or enjoy a short walk in the city.

Day 11: Cairo – Giza Pyramids – Sphinx – Museum or Old Cairo

Visit the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx, then choose to visit either the Egyptian Museum or the historic area of Old Cairo with its churches and traditional streets.

Day 12: Departure from Cairo

At the agreed time, your driver will take you to Cairo Airport for your departure, ending your 12-day road trip across Egypt without domestic flights.
